American Heroes. In a way, they are what July 4th is all about.
It is a celebration of all the men and women who have shaped, served, and saved our country. It is this collective group of heroes that allow us to enjoy our freedom on Independence Day.
As we approach July 4th, 2021, it is the perfect time to celebrate another set of American Heroes; the women and men who dedicate their lives to saving others, our nurses.
On June 17th, a new documentary premiered on the Discovery Life television channel, American Nurse Heroes. This 60-minute film captured the harsh reality and the emotional impact the past eighteen months have had on the nursing community.
It is a powerful, moving story that does a wonderful job showing the amazing commitment and incredible dedication nurses bring to their work every day. Most importantly, it honors the role nurses played over the last eighteen months fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
