Not long ago, our GHReat Tips for Health email introduced a new series we called Heroes for Hope.

Good News 2As we explained then, from time-to-time we want to

feature a new breed of hero; those people, groups and organizations dedicated to bringing us the expertise and resources to help us maintain a positive perspective on life during difficult times.

This week, we want to introduce you to Tank Sinatra and his “Tank’s Good News” collection of online resources for feel good stories to make you smile.

The Impact of Negative News

All-news channels, news radio, online news, social media…we are constantly bombarded by what’s going on in society and the world. According to media research, much of that coverage focuses on negative topics…the problems, challenges, and difficulties we face in today’s world.

Mental health experts tell us that constant exposure to these negative messages makes it almost impossible to keep a positive attitude or sense of optimism. The human brain isn’t built to handle a constant flow of bad news, it’s just too much to handle.

Good News to the Rescue

Life is about balance, and so is your health. As simplistic as it sounds, research shows that balancing your information intake with positive, feel-good news helps establish a much better mind-set for both physical and mental well-being.

That’s where Tank’s Good News comes into play.

George Resch, aka Tank Sinatra, operates the network of social sites called Tank's Good News, which focus 100% on positive stories. From heartfelt adoption stories to teacher appreciation posts, there's no shortage of uplifting moments.

Started in 2017, his Good News channels share an amazing cross-section of upbeat news curated from across the United States and around the world. His goal is to provide readers a destination they can depend on for uplifting stories and inspirational articles to brighten their day and help shape a more upbeat outlook on life. You can find them here:

Check out Tank’s Good News for your daily dose of good news. You’ll be happy you did. Stay well!
